Jake Byun Ph.d.

Jake Byun, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Jake currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Marketing at TmaxSoft Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at a university in 2020.

From 2019 to 2022, Dr. Byun held the position of Senior Director and Head of Portfolio Development at Siemens Digital Industries Software. In this role, they were responsible for product sales and played a key role in developing the company's portfolio.

Jake was also involved in market analysis and client coverage strategies.

Afterward, they enrolled in Korea University once again, this time pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in International Business, which they completed between 1999 and 2001.

Driven by a passion for IT Policy & Management, Jake went on to pursue a Ph.D. at Soongsil University from 2015 to 2019. Their doctoral studies in Engineering were centered around this field of study. The combination of their educational background in literature, business, and technology has equipped Jake with a diverse skill set to excel in their chosen profession.
