Absera Gizaw

Absera Gizaw serves as the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer at TMG since 2022, focusing on global entertainment experiences rooted in Africa, including Afro Nation and Piano People. In addition, Absera is a Board Member at Artamine, which specializes in contemporary African fine art. Previously, Absera was Co-Head of the Helios Sports and Entertainment Group at Helios Investment Partners from 2018 to 2025, overseeing investments in platforms leveraging African talent in sports and entertainment, with a portfolio that includes NBA Africa and the PFL Africa. Earlier professional roles include Senior Vice President at Citi in Helios Private Equity and an Investment Banking Analyst at PwC, where Absera also contributed as a Board Member for YoungPwC. Absera holds a Cum Laude MSc. in Finance from the University of Amsterdam, alongside education from Nyenrode Business University and Zaanlands Lyceum.
