Ginger Cohen

Ginger Cohen has over 25 years of experience in various roles related to administration, public relations, and communications. Ginger has worked in both nonprofit and corporate settings.

From 2000 to present, Ginger has been with Toward Maximum Independence, a nonprofit agency that assists individuals with disabilities. Ginger began as the Manager of Administrative Services, overseeing administrative and building operations for the organization. Ginger then became the Director of Finance & Facilities, responsible for company-wide financial and building operations. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Corporate Communications, where they develop and executes comprehensive PR and media communication campaigns for the organization.

Prior to their work at Toward Maximum Independence, Ginger served as the Director of Administration/Public Relations at the Academy for Guided Imagery, where they were responsible for all aspects of administration and public relations.

In addition, Ginger worked at Blattel Communications as an Assistant Account Executive, planning and implementing public relations campaigns for professional service accounts. Ginger also worked at Tehama Group Communications as an Editorial Manager, advising clients on PR and marketing materials.

Ginger began their career at the Chico Creek Theatre Festival as an Assistant to the Public Relations Director, where they publicized plays and music performances for the theater company.

Ginger Cohen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with an Option in Public Relations and a Minor in Psychology from California State University, Chico. Ginger completed their studies from 1991 to 1996.
