Kelly Markel

Kelly Markel is a seasoned publications professional with extensive experience in editorial roles spanning over a decade. Currently serving as Publications Managing Editor at The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society since November 2019, Kelly previously held various key editorial positions at the American Economic Association, including Managing Editor for AER: Insights and Coeditor for AEA Papers and Proceedings. Additional experience includes significant roles at the American Economic Review and American Economic Journals, as well as freelance writing for Pittsburgh Magazine and the Three Rivers Rowing Association. Kelly holds an MFA in Writing from Chatham University and a BA in English from West Virginia University.
