Bob Dirks is an accomplished expert in quantum technology and space instrumentation, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of QuDef and as a Founder at BQB BV. With extensive experience at TNO since 2010, Bob has held various positions, including Senior Systems Architect in Quantum Technology, leading projects in space-based quantum communication. Bob has also provided expertise as an external advisor to EUSPA and the European Commission. Previous roles include Systems Architect at QuTech and Space Instrument Scientist at SRON, showcasing a robust background in R&D within the space sector. Bob completed a PhD in Instrumentation for Astrophysics from Université Paris Cité and holds an M.Sc. in applied physics from the University of Twente.
