Christa Hooijer

Christa Hooijer serves as the Director of Science and Technology for Defense Safety and Security at TNO since September 2019, while also leading the Industry unit at TNO. In September 2023, Christa was appointed as the Interim Chair of the Board of Directors for Quantum Delta NL. Previous roles include Directeur Institutenorganisatie at NWO from January 2017 to August 2019 and Directeur a.i. at FOM between June 2015 and December 2016. Christa has held significant positions at NWO and Stichting FOM, including Secretary of the National Committee Large Scale Infrastructures and Deputy Director of Physics. With a background in theoretical quantum optics, Christa completed a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and holds a Master's degree from the University of Twente.
