Freek van 'T Hoen

Freek van 't Hoen is an experienced business developer currently focused on creating business opportunities in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Protection areas at TNO since March 2022. Prior to this role, Freek interned in the same capacity at TNO and worked as a marketing and strategy consultant at Onderwijs Communicatie Groep, where marketing strategies for new products were developed. Freek’s background also includes research diving for Wageningen Marine Research, where a master’s thesis on herbivore distribution in Bonaire’s coral reef was completed. An education journey includes a Master’s degree in Biology and Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology from Leiden University, complemented by a minor in Science-based Business and education from Cranfield University. Prior roles include managerial positions in sales and team leadership, showcasing a well-rounded skill set in both scientific research and business development.
