Hedwig Braakhuis

Hedwig Braakhuis is a Senior Toxicologist at TNO since June 2023, with extensive experience in toxicology and risk assessment. Prior to this role, Hedwig worked at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment as a Toxicologist and PhD student focused on Integrated Risk Assessment of Nanomaterials from September 2011 to June 2023. Earlier experience includes a position as a Junior Toxicologist at Royal Haskoning, where support was provided to chemical companies for REACH and CLP compliance, as well as internships at RIVM and Royal Haskoning, investigating mutagenicity assays and cosmetics regulation, respectively. Additionally, an internship at UMC St Radboud involved research on hepcidin in inflammatory conditions. Hedwig holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Radboud University, obtained between 2005 and 2010.
