Henrik van de Ven

Henrik van de Ven, PhD, currently serves as a Scientist and Consultant at TNO since January 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Junior Docent at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from September 2018 to October 2022, where responsibilities involved teaching, supervising, and coordinating B.Sc/M courses. Previously, Henrik held the position of Jr. Scientist at Avantium, contributing to the development of efficient processes and sustainable products from bio-based materials. With a foundational background as a PhD Researcher at the University of Amsterdam, work focused on advancing comprehensive two-dimensional liquid chromatography. Additional internships and research roles include positions at Akzo Nobel Chemicals, Shell Global Solutions, and the Science Institute, University Iceland. Academic qualifications comprise a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam and a B.Sc in Chemistry from Háskóli Íslands.
