Jessica de Ruiter is a scientist at TNO since December 2018, focusing on real-world vehicle emissions by studying pollutants from car tailpipes during normal driving. Prior to this role, Jessica served as a computational chemist at TMC and was affiliated with Leiden University, where involvement included work as a guest researcher and PhD candidate in computational chemistry, particularly in the development of artificial photosynthesis technologies. Jessica also has research experience from Leiden University as a master's student, and internships at Philips Research and Industrial Research Ltd, specializing in computational chemistry and solid-state research. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Theoretical Chemistry from Leiden University, a Postgraduate Certificate of Science from Victoria University of Wellington, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Chemistry, also from Victoria University.
