Richard Pijpers

Richard Pijpers has extensive experience in business development and scientific research within the field of civil engineering and maritime structures. Since March 2011, Richard has held multiple roles at TNO, including Senior Business Developer, Proposition Manager, Business Developer for Maritime Structures, and various scientist positions, showcasing a progression from Scientist Innovator to Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology from June 2005 to March 2011, supported by the M2I Materials Innovation Institute, and conducting internships at Maurer Söhne and Rijkswaterstaat. Richard also worked as a Student Worker at Povse & Partners architecten en ingenieurs bv from 1997 to 2005. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Steel Structures and an MSc in Civil Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology, with the latter awarded Cum Laude.
