Ben Utley

Ben Utley is a seasoned professional in government relations, currently serving as Senior Manager of Government Relations at ERCOT since October 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Manager of Government Relations at ERCOT, Legislative Director for the Texas House of Representatives, and Commission Policy Analyst at the Texas Department of Transportation. Additionally, Ben held the position of Legislative Director at the Texas House of Representatives earlier in their career, alongside various internships in public affairs and political communications, including positions with HillCo Partners, Mary Kay Inc., the Office of George W. Bush, and the Pete Sessions Congressional Office. Ben obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015.
