As Vice President of the Southeast region, Christine Rhyner leads TNTP’s consulting work in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Puerto Rico, with a focus on helping educators, schools, and school systems expand access to opportunity.
Previously, Christine served as a Managing Partner, developing and managing Partners in the Southeast region to create state-wide strategies for impact, growth, and sustainability. During her seven years as a Partner, Christine cultivated new business nationally and worked with funders and school systems to provide equitable access to a high-quality education. In this role, Christine managed diverse project portfolios, aimed at bringing communities together around improved educational outcomes.
Since joining TNTP in 2010, Christine has held many roles across the organization, leading work nationally focused on strategic planning, central office effectiveness, talent pipeline and management, strong academics, and strengthening instructional culture. This work has supported districts, states, and funders nationally to increase equitable access to a high-quality education for students.
Christine is a former elementary and high school ELL teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and an MBA and master’s degree in education administration and policy from the University of Michigan.
