James W. Callaway

James Callaway served as group president of AT&T Inc., where he was responsible for leading the merger transition between the former SBC Communications and the former AT&T Corp. Since February 2005, he served as group president of SBC, responsible for leading merger-integration planning efforts.

Previously, Mr. Callaway served as group president responsible for SBC's international operations, directory operations and Sterling Commerce. Before that, he served in a variety of strategic and high-level positions, including that of state president of SBC Kansas and SBC California. Mr. Callaway began his career with SBC through its subsidiary, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, in 1968.
