April Nishimura

April Nishimura serves as the Co Executive Director at Training Resources for the Environmental Community, overseeing strategy, network development, HR, legal, and organizational growth since February 2020. In addition to this role, April is a board member for both the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee and the UNITED TERRITORIES OF PACIFIC ISLANDERS ALLIANCE SEATTLE, where contributions include supporting governance, fund development, and advancing diversity, equity, and justice initiatives. Previous positions include Interim Chief Operating Officer & Systems Change Lead at the Interaction Institute for Social Change, Director of Capacity Building at RVC, and Community Equity Engagement Manager at The Russell Family Foundation, alongside various consulting roles focused on organizational development and capacity building. April holds an MBA and a Master in Sustainable International Development from The Heller School at Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a focus on Global Health from the University of Washington.
