Achini Bandara

Achini Bandara, PhD, currently serves as Co-Executive Director and Development and Strategic Partnerships Director at GRID Alternatives since April 2022. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Development at Sierra Nevada Journeys from November 2019 to April 2022 and Project Development Scientist at City of Hope from July 2017 to November 2019, where involvement centered on grant writing and project management in the T Cell Therapeutics Research Laboratory. Achini also functioned as Project Administrator at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, managing research projects in kidney development and regenerative medicine. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Wofford College, complemented by participation in the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program focusing on Organizational and Community Leadership.
