Gal Shmueli

Gal Shmueli has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology ventures.

Starting in 2014, they served as a Steering Committee Member at the ICRC – Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center Tel Aviv University.

In 2016, Gal joined CyGov - Intelligent Cyber Security as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where they held the role until August 2020.

Simultaneously, they also became a Venture Partner at Amiti Ventures from September 2016 to March 2018, and later served on its Investment Committee from March 2018 to June 2019.

In 2017, Gal took on the role of CTO at Cylus until October 2018.

Additionally, they worked as a Cyber Security Specialist at Private from 2017, where they provided consulting services on cyber, cloud, and hi-tech R&D ventures.

Gal also held the position of CTO and VP R&D at CloudWize.IO - All in one cloud optimization from April 2019 to July 2020.

From January 2019, they served as a Cyber Security Specialist at Toka.

In August 2020, they joined the Advisory Committee at CyGov.

Finally, Gal became a Partner at Tal Ventures starting from August 2021. Throughout their career, Gal has demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, technology ventures, and strategic advisory roles.

Gal Shmueli completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 1987 and 1990. Following that, between 1996 and 1999, they pursued an MBA from Tel Aviv University, specializing in Business School. Additionally, in May 2006, Gal obtained the CMMI Intermediate certification, although the institution where they acquired this certification is unspecified.
