Itxaso Ariza

Itxaso Ariza currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Tokamak Energy since September 2024, where responsibilities include leading technology strategy and execution during a crucial phase of commercialization for fusion and high temperature superconducting magnet applications. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Rolls-Royce from May 2010 to September 2024, with multiple roles such as Chief Engineer for UltraFan, Trent XWB-97, and Trent 1000, as well as Airframe Integration Manager for Airbus. Additionally, Itxaso Ariza contributed as a Project Manager for the International Labour Organization in 2015, focusing on post-Typhoon Haiyan reconstruction efforts in Tacloban. Itxaso Ariza holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, completed in 2005.
