Ozgul Erkis Gozum

Ozgul Erkis Gozum has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Beginning in 2002, they started as a Business Development Intern at Alcatel-Lucent. In 2003, they worked as a Product Management and Business Development Intern at Beko Global. From 2004 to 2007, they served as a Sales and Marketing Specialist at Siemens Healthineers.

In 2007, Ozgul joined Akbank and held several positions including Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, and Senior Product Manager in the Payment Systems department. They were responsible for customer growth, lifecycle management, and launching the Axess Card.

In 2014, Ozgul moved to Arçelik Global as a Business Partner Manager in Payment Systems Business Development, a role they held until 2018. At Arçelik Global, they were responsible for managing partnerships and developing payment systems business.

In 2018, Ozgul joined Token Financial Technologies as the Business Partnerships and Development Leader for Payment Services. They played a crucial role in building and expanding banking payment services and leading the bank partnership strategy. They also focused on developing the business strategy, leveraging strategic partner relationships, and driving B2B2C opportunities.

Alongside their corporate work, Ozgul also engaged in various other professional endeavors. In 2022, they became a Contributor at Startup Stash, contributing their expertise and insights. They also served as the Country Ambassador for Turkey at the European Women Payments Network (EWPN).

Ozgul Erkis Gozum obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Sabanci University, where they received a full scholarship. Ozgul attended Sabanci University from 1999 to 2004.

Prior to attending Sabanci University, Ozgul Erkis Gozum attended Antalya Science High School from 1996 to 1999. Ozgul graduated as the first-ranked student at Antalya Science High School. Before that, they studied at Antalya Çakallıklı Anadolu Lisesi from 1992 to 1996, also graduating as the first-ranked student.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ozgul Erkis Gozum has obtained several certifications. In May 2010, they obtained the certification in Profitable Card Management from the Mastercard Academy Middle East Africa. More recently, they acquired the ReMood Program certification from Emeritus in September 2022. In October 2021, they obtained the FinTech 101 certification from FinTech Istanbul. In June 2021, they completed the Leadership Journey program from Management Centre Türkiye (MCT). In January 2023, they obtained the Model Thinking certification from the University of Michigan, followed by certifications in The Future of Payment Technologies in February 2023 and Behavioral Finance from Duke University in May 2023.
