Ellen Gottschling has worked in a variety of roles in the transportation and policy sector since 2012. Ellen began their career in 2012 as an Undergraduate Assistant at Indiana University Foundation, followed by an Assistant to the Director Intern at Time's Up! Environmental Organization. In 2013, they worked as a Research Associate Intern at The Street Plans Collaborative. In 2014, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Volunteer Coordinator at Bike New York. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Sam Schwartz as a Transportation Planner and Designer II, Transportation Planner I, and Transportation Planning Intern. In 2019, they joined Spin as the Director of Policy Initiatives, Senior Program Manager, Streets & Equity, Streets Program Manager, and Community Partnerships Manager, Central Region. Ellen is currently the Customer Success Manager at Token Transit.
Ellen Gottschling has a Master's in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Indiana University Bloomington, and completed a Study Abroad Exchange in Environmental Policy at Sciences Po.
