Janne Pihkala

Janne Pihkala is the current Director of Strategy and Business Development at Tokmanni. Janne has also held positions at Takoa Invest, Deloitte, BearingPoint, Aalto University, and Mars. Janne has a background in academic research and teaching, and their experience spans the retail, consumer goods, and financial industries.

Janne Pihkala began their career as an Academic Research Assistant at the Helsinki School of Economics in 2009. The following year, they took on a Sales & Marketing Trainee role at Mars. In 2010, they became an Academic Teaching and Research Assistant at Aalto University before joining BearingPoint as a Manager in 2011. Janne spent four years at BearingPoint, during which time they were responsible for sales and delivery of management consulting services within the retail and consumer goods industry.

In 2016, Janne Pihkala left BearingPoint to join Deloitte as a Manager in their Financial Advisory unit. There, they were part of a team responsible for sales and delivery of commercial due diligence services for private equity and corporate clients. Janne left Deloitte after just over a year to join Takoa Invest as an Investment Manager. At Takoa Invest, Janne Pihkala was responsible for supporting the family office in various investment activities.

Janne Pihkala joined Tokmanni as Director of Strategy and Business Development in 2018. In this role, they are responsible for leading Tokmanni’

Janne Pihkala is currently a doctoral candidate at Aalto University, studying logistics. Janne also has an IMBA from the Darla Moore School of Business, and a M. Sc. (Econ.) in Information and Service Management from the Helsinki School of Economics.
