Moto Tohda

Vice President / Information Systems at Tokyo Century

Moto Tohda has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Starting in 2000, Tohda worked as an Application Developer at TenFold. Later, in 2002, Tohda joined SYSCOM (USA), INC. as an Application Architect/System Engineer, where they designed and implemented Microsoft Servers and networks for clients, as well as set up network infrastructure and security devices. In 2007, Tohda moved to Tokyo Century (USA) Inc. as an Assistant Vice President/IT, responsible for analyzing, designing, budgeting, and managing IT projects and products. Tohda later became the Vice President/Information Systems at the same company, where they oversaw the entire IT for the US operations and implemented IT initiatives to promote business growth. In 2019, Tohda became a Big Data Advisory Board Member at Rutgers University.

Moto Tohda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, Chemistry, and Computer Science from Oberlin College, which was obtained from 1996 to 2000. In 2018 to 2019, Moto completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program at the Quantic School of Business and Technology, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Moto also holds additional certifications including the Certified Lease & Finance Professional from the CLFP Foundation (obtained in 2022), DataRobot Essentials from DataRobot (obtained in 2019), and VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization from VMware (obtained in 2017).
