Jianping Zhao

Jianping Zhao serves as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Technical Director at Tokyo Electron US, where since June 2008, contributions have included R&D for novel microwave and high-frequency plasma etch/ALD equipment, among other technical advancements. Previously, roles included Principal Research Scientist focused on plasma source design and Senior Research Scientist specializing in plasma reactor development. Since December 2019, Jianping Zhao has also held the position of Adjunct Senior Staff Scientist at The University of Texas at Austin, leading a PEALD R&D project. Prior experience includes a Research Scientist role at the University of Houston from May 2001 to May 2008. Jianping Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Materials Physics from the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology and a Master's degree in Materials Science from Lanzhou University.
