Johanna Minich

Consulting Curator Of Native American Art at Toledo Museum of Art

Johanna Minich currently serves as the Consulting Curator of Native American Art at the Toledo Museum of Art since March 2023 and has been the President of JMinich Art Curation and Consulting since September 2015. Previously, Johanna held the position of Consulting Curator at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts from August 2014 to October 2022, contributing to various projects related to exhibition development, collection management, donor relationships, and community programming. Johanna has also been involved in academia as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Mary Washington and Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching courses on Native American and Pre-Columbian art. Johanna's education includes a Ph.D. in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Art History from The University of Georgia. Additionally, Johanna participated in an Art Crime Investigation Seminar organized by Robert Wittman in 2012.
