Marissa Stevenson

Marissa Stevenson is an accomplished professional in the field of textile conservation, currently serving as the Assistant Conservator of Textile Based Collections at the Toledo Museum of Art since June 2019. Stevenson's notable roles at the museum include Textile Conservation Fellow and Samuel H. Kress Fellow in Multimedia Textile Conservation. The thesis focused on the Libbey Doll Collection, exploring conservation treatments for garments and accessories and addressing the complexities of three-dimensional object treatment. Additional experience includes positions as a Contract Conservator, Instructor for the Art History Department at The University of Toledo, and various internships across prestigious institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Marissa holds a Master of Arts in Fashion and Textiles from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from The University of Toledo.
