Holger A. Russ is a Scientific Co-Founder at Tolerance Bio since January 2024, where the focus is on enhancing healthspan through the restoration of thymus function. Concurrently, Holger serves as Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and Associate Professor at the University of Florida, investigating the human immune beta cell interface and developing strategies to restore pancreatic and thymic function. Previously, Holger was the Director at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, overseeing the Molecular and Disease Modeling core at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, and built a NIH-funded research program on autoimmune diabetes. Holger's formative research training includes a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF and a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University in Human Genetics and Biochemistry, along with relevant thesis work and research internships in various esteemed laboratories.
