Derrick Shiba

Vice President Healthcare and Clinical Trials at TOMI Environmental Solutions

Derrick Shiba has been working in the field of infection control since 1985. From 2017 to 2018, they were an Infection Preventionist Consultant for Long Term Care at the California Department of Public Health. Since 2018, they have been the Vice President Healthcare and Clinical Trials at TOMI Environmental Solutions, Inc. Prior to this, they were an Infection Control Consultant/Director for Hospitals, Clinics, LTC, Nursing Facilities, and companies requiring infection control expertise. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing Infection Prevention Programs and ensuring regulatory requirements were met. Derrick also assisted medical device manufacturers with strategic planning, marketing, education, and specific needs based on product and organization.

Derrick Shiba obtained their Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University between 2000 and 2002. Derrick then went on to obtain a Certification in Coaching from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in 2008 and a Certification in Coaching from Brandman University - Chapman University System in 2007. In 2005, Derrick obtained a Certification in Organizational Development from Brandman University - Chapman University System. Derrick also holds a Certification in Infection Control from APIC and a Certification in Total Trainer Program from ASTD Orange County Chapter. Derrick is also a Certified Product Specialist.
