Kate Truesdell has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Kate began their career as a Sales Associate at Pebble Beach Resorts, followed by a role as Waitstaff at Missoula Manor Homes in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Brand Ambassador and Account Executive for Campus Special (acquired by Chegg, Inc.). That same year, they joined Audience Awards, where they held the roles of Head of Community, Women's Film Challenge Producer, and Venue Manager. In 2019, they worked as a Recreation Program Coordinator at Missoula Parks and Recreation, a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator at Montana Studios, and a Festival Programmer and Venue Manager at AudPop. Most recently, in 2021, they worked as a Medical Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University and is currently employed as a Marketing Manager at TOMIS.

Kate Truesdell obtained their High School Diploma from Carmel High School in 2011. Kate then attended the University of Montana, where they earned an Entertainment Management Certificate and a Communication Studies B.A. in 2015. In 2021, they obtained a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician certification from Aerie Backcountry Medicine. In addition, they have obtained certifications from the American Heart Association (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, 2021), Desert Mountain Medicine (Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid, 2020), and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (Emergency Medical Technician and Wilderness EMT, 2021).
