Austin Jacobs

Austin Jacobs has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Austin started their career as an Engineering Laboratory Technician at SC Johnson from June 2011 to August 2013. Following this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Attwood Corporation for the entire year of 2015. In 2016, they joined Perception Engineering, LLC as a Project Engineer, where they worked on contract engineering projects, managing workloads and coordinating due dates. Austin also engineered 3D models and prints using SolidWorks CAD software. In 2019, Austin became the Lead Project Engineer at Perception Engineering, LLC, where they were responsible for overseeing ongoing projects, coordinating with the design team, and working with local companies for new product development and machine design. In January 2020, they transitioned to the role of Engineering Manager at Tommy Car Wash Systems, overseeing the engineering department. Austin was promoted to the position of Senior Manager of Engineering in August 2020 and eventually became the Director of Engineering in June 2021.

Austin Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering - BSE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University between 2011 and 2016. In addition, they obtained several certifications related to SolidWorks from Dassault Systèmes, including Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Drawing Tools (CSWPA-DT) in 2018, Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) in 2018, Certified SolidWorks Professional Advanced Sheet Metal (CSWPA-SM) in 2017, and Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) in 2016.
