John Muggeridge is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at the Commerce Commission since 2022. Prior to this role, John provided legal research and opinions to judges as Judges' Research Counsel at the District Court from 2011 to 2013, and subsequently worked as a Senior Solicitor at Fortune Manning between 2013 and 2015. John further advanced their career as a Senior Solicitor at Brodies LLP from 2016 to 2019 and held the positions of Senior Associate and Special Counsel at Tompkins Wake from 2019 to 2022. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Spanish, as well as a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Auckland, and completed a Bachelor of Laws exchange at the University of Glasgow.
