Hugo D. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Hugo started their career as a Purchase Assistant at IBM, where they were responsible for resale purchases and negotiation with national and international suppliers. After that, they worked at Sika as an Imports/Exports Supervisor, overseeing sales levels, purchase orders, and document review to avoid cost overruns.

Hugo then joined Nextel del Peru S.A. as a Buyer, managing purchases for various departments and collaborating with vendors and warehouse personnel to ensure timely delivery. Subsequently, they worked as a Logistics Manager at Sedna Industries Inc., where they were in charge of all logistics operations and served as a liaison for domestic and international suppliers.

Hugo D. then transitioned to the Trade Commission of Peru as a Trade Specialist, providing expertise in trade-related matters. Most recently, they held two positions at TOMS - as an International Logistics Sales Specialist for the APAC/LATAM region and as an Operations Manager for LATAM/APAC/US. Overall, their work experience exhibits a strong background in logistics, sales, operations, and trade.

Hugo D. has a diverse education history. In 1993, they attended Afton Central School as an exchange student, focusing on a high school curriculum. Hugo then went on to graduate from Liceo Naval Almirante Guise with a High School Diploma. In 1994, Hugo attended Universidad Ricardo Palma, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, which they completed in 2004. Continuing their education, Hugo enrolled in multiple courses and seminars. In 2011, they attended a seminar at APICS San Diego Chapter called "Managing Suppliers in an Outsourced World." Additionally, they received training in "Standardized Seafood HACCP Alliance Training" from Cornell University and the National Seafood HACCP Alliance. In the same year, Hugo also took an introductory course in Project Management titled "Introduction to Project Management: Framework and Integration" at San Diego State University. In 2012, they further expanded their knowledge with the completion of the "Detailed Scheduling and Planning Module" from APICS San Diego Chapter.
