Giuseppe Barbalinardo

Giuseppe Barbalinardo, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in data, artificial intelligence, and software development, currently serving as Director of Data and AI at Tonal since January 2021, where leadership extends to teams in data engineering, analytics, machine learning, AI, and computer vision to enhance fitness technology. In addition, Giuseppe provides pro bono mentoring for startups and SMEs at INNOVIT, drawing on a robust background in technology and entrepreneurship. As a co-founder of WeVUX, Giuseppe has successfully grown the platform, emphasizing sustainable design and enhancing user experience. Previous roles include Software Development Investment Fellow at The Molecular Sciences Software Institute, where the kALDo software package was developed, and Engineering Manager at Grio, promoting Agile methodologies. Giuseppe holds a PhD in Chemical Physics from the University of California, Davis, and additional degrees in Physics from UC San Diego and Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, alongside advanced studies at Uppsala University.
