Ivan Savytskyi

Ivan Savytskyi has a diverse background in software engineering and development. Ivan is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Tonal since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Shopify for five years as a Staff Developer, where they played a vital role in migrating to a new API with RxJava 2.0 support for the Mobile Buy SDK 2.0.

Before joining Shopify, Ivan worked as a Lead Android Software Engineer at Spangle Inc. from January 2015 to April 2016. At Spangle, they contributed to the development of the Spangle App, a social network application that allows users to manage their social network events and monitor trending places in real-time.

Ivan also has experience working at QuickPlay Media as a Senior Software Engineer (Employee) from February 2013 to January 2015, and at Exent as a Senior Software Developer from November 2012 to November 2013. At Exent, they contributed to the development of GameTanium, an Android mobile application that provides a subscription to game catalogues from different vendors.

Earlier in their career, Ivan worked at EPAM Systems as a Senior Software Developer from November 2010 to January 2013. There, they worked on projects like ThomsonReuters, developing Blackberry and Android applications for journalists to be notified of events, capture media, and upload it to servers.
