D Rajendrakumar Lt Commander (Retd.) has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2018. D Rajendrakumar started their career in the Indian Navy as a Project Manager for submarines, a role they held from February 2003 to February 2009. D Rajendrakumar then served as a Senior Manager for Projects & Operations in the Submarine Squadron from February 2009 to January 2011. Following that, they worked as a Deputy Director for Procurements, Project & Contract Management at the Ministry of Defense, Naval HQ (IHQ) from February 2011 to February 2013.

In 2013, Rajendrakumar joined Larsen & Toubro Limited as a Project Manager for Strategic Electronic Systems in the Defense & Aerospace division, a position they held from April 2013 to November 2014. D Rajendrakumar then moved on to work at IHS Markit as a Senior Defense Analyst, where they assessed global defense markets and provided market forecasts and analysis of business potential for military systems from December 2014 to December 2016.

In 2016, Rajendrakumar joined Tonbo Imaging as a Program Manager and progressively held several roles within the company, including Head of Program Management from December 2017 to November 2018, Head of Production from December 2018 onwards, and finally, Director of Programs as of December 2018.

Throughout their career, Rajendrakumar has gained expertise in program management, project and contract management, market forecasting, and strategic analysis. D Rajendrakumar has also interacted with various stakeholders in the defense industry and armed forces, including OEMs, the Ministry of Defense, and defense headquarters.

D Rajendrakumar Lt Commander (Retd.) has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained a Diploma in Electronics & Communication from Mei Polytechnic. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Bangalore between 1997 and 2001. Rajendrakumar furthered their education in 2009, when they enrolled in the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad and earned a Post Graduate Programme in Systems Management, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, in the same year, they attended the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon, where they obtained a Certificate in Business Management with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations.
