Don Solomons

Don Solomons possesses extensive experience in various leadership roles at Tongaat Hulett since February 2005, currently serving as Acting Group Commercial Executive, where key commercial principles are implemented across multiple countries of operation. Previous positions within the company include Route to Market - Strategy, where the TH Sugar business value-chain was re-shaped, and Supply Chain Manager, focusing on national retail and industrial warehousing strategies. Don also held roles such as Senior Operations Manager, Production Manager, Packaging Manager, and Process Engineer, each contributing to optimization and compliance within production and logistics. Prior to Tongaat Hulett, Don gained practical experience at Toyota South Africa as a Management Trainee and at Namakwa Sands as a Metallurgical Trainee. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, a Certificate in Advanced Project Management from University of South Africa, and participation in a Senior Management Development Program at Stellenbosch University.
