Ranjeetha Hirawan

Ranjeetha Hirawan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ranjeetha started their career as a Candidate Process Engineer at KBR, Inc., where they gained experience in designing safety devices and control valves. Ranjeetha then joined Illovo Sugar as a Chemical Engineer in Training, focusing on process and energy engineering. After that, they took on the role of Process Design Engineer at Tongaat Hulett, where they were responsible for equipment design, P&ID development, and providing technical support. Ranjeetha later transitioned into the role of Business Turnaround Project Engineer/Business Analyst at Tongaat Hulett, leading procurement projects and improving client relationships. Currently, they serve as the Project Manager and Category Lead for Group Strategic Sourcing at Tongaat Hulett, where they focus on animal feeds raw materials, fertilizers, crop chemicals, and industrial chemicals.

Ranjeetha Hirawan has a strong educational background starting from 1999 to 2020. Ranjeetha obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2002. Later, in 2004, they pursued a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same university. In 2010, Ranjeetha completed a 10-week sugar course at the Sugar Milling Research Institute. Additionally, they attended the Stellenbosch Business School in 2017, where they completed a Management Development Program with a focus on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Lastly, in 2020, they furthered their education by undertaking a Business Systems Analysis program at the University of Cape Town.
