Jackal Ma's work experience begins in 1994 as a Senior Technical Manager and Octopus Chief Architect at Unisys, where they led a team of developers to deliver a successful IT project for the Hong Kong Transportation sector. Jackal then worked at Teledata Hong Kong Limited as the Director of Solution and Professional Services from 1995 to 1998.
In 1998, Jackal Ma joined ITAPPS as the CTO and General Manager of Professional Services, where they grew the division from Hong Kong to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan. Jackal managed a staff of over 60 and increased the business from HK$10 million to HK$50 million.
From 2000 to 2003, Jackal Ma served as the Managing Director of Asia at Edify Asia, overseeing the setup of a Joint Venture for growing the Call Center business in Asia. Jackal was responsible for growing the Enterprise Call Center and CRM Software Business in the region.
Jackal Ma then became the CEO of Greater China and Group Executive Director at ITAPPS from 2003 to 2008. Jackal had overall P&L responsibility and successfully grew the CRM and Call Center business in China.
From 2008 to 2012, Jackal Ma worked as the Managing Director of North Asia at Aspect Software, leading the company's business growth in the region. Jackal then joined AXA as the Regional Head of Operation for Asia in 2012.
In the same year, they became the VP of Asia at ThreatMetrix, a worldwide Big data Anti-Fraud Solution provider, where they successfully introduced cloud-based big-data fraud solutions in developing countries across Asia.
Since 2014, Jackal Ma has been a Partner, Cofounder, and Executive Director at 同盟科技, leading operations in multiple countries and global business covering Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
In 2022, Jackal Ma became the Chairman of TrustDecision, a SaaS-based startup operating in 5 countries and serving customers globally in the area of Fraud, Credit, and Compliance Risk through Analytics and data science.
Jack Ma attended Saint Louis School from 1980 to 1985, however, no degree or field of study was obtained during this time. Jackal then went on to study at The University of Hong Kong from 1985 to 1988, where they pursued a B.Sc (Eng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. After a gap, they continued their education at the ChangJiang Graduate School of Business from 2003 to 2005, earning an EMBA in Business.
