David Smith

David Smith has extensive experience in facilities management and maintenance within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Facilities and Maintenance at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals since July 2024, David also holds the position of Facilities Manager at Tonix Pharmaceuticals since June 2021. Previously, David worked as Facilities Manager at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. from September 2019 to June 2021, and as Lab Facilities Manager at Wave Life Sciences from June 2018 to September 2019. David's career began at Biogen from August 2004 to June 2018, where responsibilities included troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory equipment in both cGMP and non-GMP environments. Earlier experience includes serving as a Maintenance Technician at Wyeth Biopharma from 2000 to 2004. David is a graduate of the Northeast School of Industrial Technology (1988-1990) and attended Medford High School (1983-1987).
