Scott Goebel is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in molecular virology, infectious disease research, and intellectual property analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist II and IP Analyst at Tonix Pharmaceuticals since April 2021, Scott leads project direction involving research initiatives and assay development. Prior roles include significant contributions to infectious disease projects at Southern Research and BioMarin Pharmaceutical, where Scott focused on novel therapeutics and gene therapy products. With a background that spans over three decades across multiple organizations, Scott has a proven track record in assay development, diagnostics, and vaccine research, complemented by a strong educational foundation in molecular biology and virology from the State University of New York.
