Peter Swift

Peter Swift is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and strategic communications across various government and organizational roles. Currently serving as the Director of Media Relations and Strategic Communications at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change since May 2022, Peter has also held positions including Head of Media Relations at the Competition and Markets Authority, and Head of Newsdesk and Union Communications at HM Treasury. Previously, Peter has worked as Chief Press Officer at both 10 Downing Street and the Department for Exiting the European Union, managing significant communications initiatives on domestic and foreign affairs, particularly during pivotal moments such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Peter's background includes a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from Lancaster University and a journalism qualification from Liverpool Community College.
