Chris Burton

Chris Burton is a seasoned executive in civil engineering with extensive experience in business development and leadership roles. Currently serving as Executive Director at Tony Gee and Partners since June 2013, Chris has held various titles, including Business Development Director and Business Development Manager. In addition to this role, Chris has been actively involved with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) since February 1996, fulfilling multiple leadership positions, such as Chair of the ICE Appeals Panel and ICE Professionalism Panel, alongside contributions as a council member and trustee. Chris also serves as a member of the Worshipful Company of Engineers and has previously chaired the Technical Apprenticeship Consortium. Prior experience includes key roles at Halcrow, Hochtief, and Costain Group, complemented by a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Kingston University. Currently pursuing further education at The University of Salford, Chris combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to professional development within the engineering community.
