Nicholas Oyler

Nicholas Oyler is a seasoned planning professional currently serving as a Planning Manager at Toole Design Group since April 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Bikeway & Pedestrian Program Manager for the City of Memphis from September 2016 to March 2023, where efforts focused on enhancing conditions for walking and biking in a city historically centered on automobile traffic. Nicholas also worked as a Transportation Planner at the Memphis Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization from May 2014 to August 2016, contributing to public transportation and the 2014 Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. Previous positions include a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellow at both the Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur and Verkehrsverbund Rhein Ruhr AöR, focusing on rail and public transport planning in Germany. Early career roles include Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University and Instructor at Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Nicholas holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Memphis.
