Jonne van Baalen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They began their career in 2005 as a Manager Cashier at Hoogvliet Maassluis. In 2008, they interned at ISM, specifically at Sana Software. They also worked as a Coach at Hogeschool Rotterdam during that time. In 2009, they interned at Intergreen. In 2010, they had internships at Pebblestone and K3 Business Solutions B.V., where they focused on optimizing project transfers between sales and project management. Jonne then pursued a Master's degree in Business Information Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where they were a student and later a Master Student.

In 2012, Jonne joined TOPdesk as a Service Management Consultant. From there, they took on various roles within the company, including Team Leader of Project Coordination Consultancy Projects and Project Manager of Service Management. In 2016, they became a Talent Lead, responsible for a group of colleagues and project coordinators. In addition, they served as a Domain Expert for the Internal Services cluster, providing a strong vision for TOPdesk's success. In 2021, Jonne became the Head of IT and Facilities at TOPdesk, overseeing these departments.

Jonne van Baalen has an extensive education history. Jonne started their formal education at the Lentis Revius Lyceum in Zuid-Holland from 2001 to 2006, where they completed selective secondary education with a focus on the field of Natuur en Techniek (Science and Technology).

After completing their secondary education, Jonne attended Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bedrijfskundige Informatica (Business Informatics).

Continuing their academic pursuits, Jonne enrolled at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2010 to 2012. During this period, they completed a Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Business Information Management.

In addition to their formal education, Jonne van Baalen has also obtained certifications to enhance their skill set. Jonne completed the Talent Lead Leadership Program at TOPdesk in May 2022. In November 2017, they attended the Masterclass Leiding geven aan het ideale team at Nyenrode Business University. Other certifications include Lean Six Sigma Orange Belt from MKPC BV in July 2015, ITIL V3 from EXIN in July 2013, English Upper-Intermediate 2 (B2.2) - Advanced 1 (C1.1) from Erasmus University Rotterdam in August 2011, and Prince2 from APM Group in June 2009.
