Willem Bottema has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Willem started their career in 1997 as a System Administrator at OGD, where they worked until 2000. In 2001, they joined TOPdesk as a Senior Consultant and later transitioned to the role of User Interface and Experience Designer (UX) in 2008. Their responsibilities at TOPdesk included coordinating the design process of the Service Management application, designing new modules and functionalities, and supporting the development department. In 2008, they joined Pon Automotive B.V. as a Consultant, where they focused on improving the implementation of ITIL and customizing the TOPdesk application to fit the organization's processes. From 2003 to 2007, they worked at Rijkswaterstaat as a Process Lead, where they were responsible for implementing ITIL processes and introducing the TOPdesk Service Management application. Throughout their career, Willem has demonstrated expertise in ITIL, process improvement, and application customization.
Willem Bottema began their education at SSG Leeuwarden from 1986 to 1992, where they obtained their Atheneum degree. Willem then attended Delft University of Technology from 1992 to 1999, focusing on Industrial Design. After a break in their education, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from NCOI from 2008 to 2011.
