Topl is a venture backed blockchain startup that helps small and large companies track, tokenize and monetize their sustainable impact claims. We have built a very unique value proposition in the Web3 space. from both a technical and commercial POV:

  • Commercial: we built a layer 1 protocol specifically tailored for proving impact claims. Different from most protocols,we built blockchain together with the solutions layer and have even built products on top of that. We have >30 signed use cases with significant test net and increasing mainnet activity prior to our genesis token mint.

  • Technical: Some truly distinguishable merits include but are not limited to: we will be the first POS blockchain to reach Nakamoto consensus level security (aka Bitcoin POW), an enterprise-focused private smart contract layer (to complement our public, permissionless blockchain), a utxo model to afford more granular level asset tracking, and a two-coin (payment / crypto) system to offer low and stable fees over time. In essence, we have built a better mousetrap for how we want / expect our users and community to use the blockchain, with our early users as proof.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Expand client base and manage existing clients

  • Identify new markets and customers' needs

  • Execute and drive the go-to-market strategy with product and marketing teams

  • Build, lead and help sales & customer service teams achieve quarterly & annual targets

  • Be responsible for the delivery of the annual targets

  • Develop and execute successful campaigns contributing to our funnel targets

  • Drive proposal creation to win relevant opportunities

  • Actively procure new customers via cold calling, networking, and social media channels

  • Deliver and measure on core KPIs

  • Provide direction and leadership to achieve company's mission and goals

  • Review and improve efficiency of business processes

  • Represent the company as required, including industry events and public meetings

Desired Skills:

  • Strong and willing independent worker with proven leadership capabilities necessary to operate in a fast paced startup environment.

  • Ability to fully internalize Topl value proposition to identify key commercial / partnership opportunities, prioritize them, develop and execute on agreed upon action plan

  • 5+ years professional experience in business development, partnerships in a technology/blockchain company or in SaaS

  • Analytical, data-driven approach to your work

  • Track record of developing, negotiating and closing customer/partnership deals

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to find and gain alignment on true win-win contracts that are the basis for long-term relationships

  • Technical training or background to be able to understand and drive sales at the intersection of Enterprise SaaS / blockchain for business

Professional Experience:

  • Experience selling SaaS/Software solutions to enterprise opportunities

  • Hands-on knowledge of effectively implementing HubSpot (or other) CRM Software (usage through to setting sales reports based on CRM activity)

  • 5-7+ years proven leadership experience & performance in the SaaS Industry, preferably in FinTech, Data Visualization, Supply Chain, Impact or Regtech Industry

  • Experience and knowledge of selling services into small and enterprise companies

  • Demonstrated track record of defining sales plays and strategies to drive revenue and developing successful sales professionals

  • Successful history developing and implementing outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices

  • Proven results generating new leads, identifying and contacting decision-makers, screening / selecting deals in line with strategies, and signing new customers

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm in onboarding / continued support of signed customers

  • Experience understand and embracing new market trends to identify customer needs and changing buyer personas ultimately leading to successful sales campaigns

  • Have cultivated the types of new business relationships and partnerships that will support Topl Solutions sales efforts (e.g. NGOs, bolt-on platform acquisitions, etc.)

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Have scaled sales teams in startups previously

  • Are fascinated by historical and evolving trends in blockchain, NFT, DAOs, DeFi.

  • Have worked at a company like Stripe, Twilio, Snowflake, etc. that is known for being radically focused on elevated developer experience.
