Debbie Friez has over 20 years of work experience in the field of marketing and communications. Debbie began their career in 1997 as Vice President of Express Services for BurrellesLuce, where they were responsible for business development targeted at Fortune 500 companies. In 2005, they joined West Glen Communications, Inc. as Senior Account Director, where they managed client accounts and led project teams. In 2006, they returned to BurrellesLuce as Vice President of Major Accounts, where they were responsible for new business development for key Fortune 500 companies and top non-profit organizations.
In 2011, Debbie Friez became the Director of The Public Relations Society of America - National Capital Chapter. In 2012, they joined Capitol Communicator as Social Media and Tech Editor, where they collected, correlated, edited and wrote posts for the tech section of the Capitol Communicator website. In 2013, they became the Regional Sales Manager for Sprinklr, where they were responsible for enterprise software business development to major companies in the new North Central Region.
In 2014, Debbie Friez joined Central Lutheran Church as Communications Director, where they wrote, edited and designed weekly print and email newsletters. Debbie also joined Connect360 Multimedia as a Marketing Business Development Consultant and TopRank® Marketing as Senior Manager of Social & Influencer Marketing, where they provided strategic insights and team lead for influencer and social outreach campaigns.
Finally, they also became a member of the Advisory Board of Washington Women in Public Relations in 2006, where they served as Past President and was the primary ambassador for the organization to the media and community.
Debbie Friez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota, where they studied Journalism and Political Science.
