Armin Zach

Armin Zach is an accomplished professional in the field of photonics and laser technology, currently serving as Managing Director and CTO at TOPTICA Projects GmbH since January 2017. With extensive experience at TOPTICA Photonics AG since 1999, Armin Zach has held roles including Director of R&D, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineer, focusing on the development of advanced laser systems such as femtosecond and picosecond fiber lasers, frequency combs, high finesse cavities, and laser scanning microscopy systems. Armin Zach holds a Diplom in Feinwerktechnik/Medizintechnik from Technische Hochschule Ulm, complemented by earlier education at Technische Hochschule Augsburg and a Diplomarbeit at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München under the supervision of Prof. Theodor Hänsch.
