Jürgen Stuhler

Vice President Quantum Technologies at TOPTICA

Juergen Stuhler is a prominent figure in the field of quantum technologies, currently serving as the Vice President of Quantum Technologies at TOPTICA Photonics AG since August 2006. Stuhler also holds the position of Chairman of the Board and General Manager of TOPTICA Photonics (China) Co. Ltd., and since May 2023, Stuhler has been the General Manager of TOPTICA Photonics SAS. With a solid academic background, including a role as Group Leader and Lecturer at the University of Stuttgart where Stuhler focused on experiments involving Bose-Einstein Condensation, Rydberg excitation, and cold atoms, Stuhler has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at LENS, where the design of an apparatus for atom interferometry was a key contribution. The doctoral research conducted at the University of Konstanz centered on laser cooling and trapping of chromium atoms, leading to a strong foundation in experimental physics.
