Michael Gniady is an experienced software developer and data engineer specializing in Scala and big data within the fintech sector. Since April 2021, Michael has owned and operated FlatMap Consulting AB, providing consultancy services as a Senior Scala Developer and Data Engineer. In addition, Michael has been a Senior Software Engineer at Toptracer since February 2022, focusing on cloud-based golf solutions. Previously, Michael held positions as a Senior Software Developer at Schibsted and as a Product Owner for Analytics & Data at Telia, where responsibilities included architecting and implementing advanced data pipelines and a new data stack. The company was founded in 2006 with the goal to enrich the experience of watching golf on TV. By developing a unique software capable of tracking the flight of a golf ball in a camera feed, and adding graphics to make this visible on screen, Toptracer has achieved this. Several of the world’s largest broadcasting companies expressed interest, andsoon Toptracer was being featured in TV coverage from the biggest golf tournaments in the world, such as The Open Championship and the Ryder Cup.
