Richard Hewitt is an experienced professional with a background in technical installation and physical education. Currently serving as an Installation Engineer at Toptracer since March 2019, Richard specializes in electrical systems, general building, troubleshooting, and system management. Previously, Richard served as a Royal Marines Commando from March 2009 to December 2018 and was a Course Instructor for a child obesity program with the MEND Programme from February 2007 to March 2009. Prior to that, Richard worked as a gym instructor at Fitness and a Better Body (FABB) from January 2005 to January 2007. Richard holds a Foundation degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from the University of St Mark & St John, earned between 2005 and 2008.

The company was founded in 2006 with the goal to enrich the experience of watching golf on TV. By developing a unique software capable of tracking the flight of a golf ball in a camera feed, and adding graphics to make this visible on screen, Toptracer has achieved this. Several of the world’s largest broadcasting companies expressed interest, andsoon Toptracer was being featured in TV coverage from the biggest golf tournaments in the world, such as The Open Championship and the Ryder Cup.
